39 viewsAppleton Tracy grade KWKS 15J sn# 311609 with clean gilt plates and 18 size with the dial marked American Watch Co. This movement was manufactured in 1867 and is housed in a later case made by A.L. Dennison, hallmark of Birmingham England 1887. This case might have been used for this movement during the early years of Rail service, considering the balance wheel from the manufacturer for this model was a three arm gold balance, replaced at the factory with the chronometer balance wheel presently on it, matching serial number 311609, (confirmed).
