There was only one story in the papers on this maker regarding a store break in whereby he offered 4 Guineas reward for the return of 4 pocket watches. The Hall marked case is D for 1799 and case maker Thomas Carpenter, London England.
So the movement was made in Dublin, and he used a London case maker. The watch is a pair case coin sillver (lion) 8710 case numbers,
Capital D for London 1799, and Bailles for Wm Barr listing as watch maker, Dublin 1802 and serial number 8710 to match cases. The watch
case papers were for local watch repairman through the years in Dublin, Ireland.
