Benjamin Farrer was a watch maker who operated out of Pontifract, England, from 1790 as an apprentice until mid 1820's. (Note: G. H. Baillies)

Watch is a 7 jewel watch of mid grade quality, time only with an early Tompion style regulator. This watch has hallmarks for 1821.

Birmingham assay by case maker Hanna Howard (HH). The watch is 19 Lignes and is in a sterling pair case with the lion passant and an X for Birmingham date letter. The movement has the typical grotesque mask on the balance cock and a low serial number #215.
